32-bit
64-bit
If you're not sure if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit, press the Windows Key and the Pause|Break key at the same time which opens up your system info. Read that part that says System Type, it will say either 64-bit or 32-bit. Download the version accordingly.
Activator
Download and run the *.exe for the activator, select your PC brand and it will add commands to your BIOS that it will automatically issue out when installing Windows 7 (make sure you click 'install Loader as well after you select your system).
Installing Windows 7:
Download all the files and after you've used the activator, download ImgBurn, it's a totally free program you can use to burn the *.ISO to a CD/DVD. Burn the *.ISO to your computer and reboot with the CD/DVD in your disc tray. Upon install it shouldn't ask you if it's 32-bit or 64, but if it does, select the appropriate one (32-bit is also known as x86). Uncheck the option about automatically updating and when prompted for a key, you'll be able to select update later and skip the Product Key part, it will continue installing and the Loard program you installed will kick in and validate your Windows 7 for you automatically. Installation only takes a few minutes (clean install) and you're basically done.
On Vista you have two choices, clean install or upgrade. clean install wipes your harddrive and installs Windows 7 which takes about 10 minutes to fully wipe and install. There is the option to upgrade, this will save all your files/folders/programs/settings and migrate them to Windows 7, this can take up to 21 hours. If you have a lot of games and music installed, I recommend you back up the data to a flashdrive and do the clean install and then just move your music back/reinstall your games because it will potentially save you a lot of time.
If you have Windows XP (SP1, SP2, SP3) your only option is the clean install so make sure you back up the things you want to keep because you will lose it.
Q & A About Windows 7:
Q: Is it right for me?
A: If have a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, it is for you. It's designed to fully utilize the latest hardware and older.
Q: Will I be able to play games on it that only work on XP?
A: Yes. On Windows 7 Ultimate Edition there is backwards compatibly mode. Simply backclick the program you want to run > Properties > Run this program in compatibility mode for: and it has the options to run as XP (all 3 service packs) or Vista (both service packs), even Windows 98, 95, ME, NT 4.0 and Windows Server 2003/8.
Edit: If you're having trouble extracting the files; download 7z to unzip with. Rory had some weird ass problem and I had to use 7z to unzip for him instead of Winrar.
Edit: @ Jimi, Javan86 downloaded a perfectly fine working version using Demiond(sp?) so I'd search there for torrents.

demonoid has been down for a long time & it is more than likely javan just used a public tracker (demonoid uses public trackers also, so i wouldn't trust it from there either)
+ javan is mentally retarded & would not be able to know if it was clean or not, sure it worked, but enjoy being part of a botnet

Hello: http://www.softpedia...t/HashTab.shtml
It's comparing hashmarks isn't exactly hard. Having the same hash as the original version is about as clean as it gets.

Unless you yourself have ripped an .iso of the exact version your pirating, how would you truly know? but yeah using a hash checker is better than nothing, implying that what you're comparing it to is clean. There are ALOT of dirty versions going around, and mislabeled ones. For example:
Windows 7 Ultimate Retail English (x86)
Name: 7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.iso
Size: 2501894144 bytes
Date Modified: Tuesday, July 14, 2009, 17:32:44 PM
CRC: C1C20F76
MD5: D0B8B407E8A3D4B75EE9C10147266B89
SHA-1: 5395DC4B38F7BDB1E005FF414DEEDFDB16DBF610
Windows 7 Ultimate Retail English (x64)
Name: 7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso
Size: 3224686592 bytes
Date Modified: Tuesday, July 14, 2009, 17:40:25 PM
CRC: 1F1257CA
MD5: F43D22E4FB07BF617D573ACD8785C028
SHA-1: 326327CC2FF9F05379F5058C41BE6BC5E004BAA7
both of these were released before even the RTM came out, they are actually RCs that have been going around mis-labeled, and will stop working at the same time as the rest of the RCs.
i'll pirate shit that might be un-safe (running keygens and shit in VMs), but I really try to 100% guarantee if im installing a OS its clean as fuck. My rl buddy's uncle used to crack micro$oft shit for us alot, but hes off in college now. That's where I'd get a real clean one, if I was after one. He'd get shit to update with micro$oft servers and everything.
